Jennifer Plenty is a board-certified psychiatric mental health nurse practitioner. She began her nursing career in 2012 at a 400+ bed trauma center in Phoenix, gaining experience across multiple departments, including medical-surgical, telemetry, oncology, orthopedics, intensive care, emergency, and behavioral health. Over time, Jennifer transitioned to focus on behavioral health full-time, working with patients from age 7 through geriatric in outpatient, inpatient, and crisis settings.
Commitment to Behavioral Health
Jennifer’s commitment to patient care deepened after witnessing a family member struggle within the behavioral health system, motivating her to further her education and become a nurse practitioner. Her approach to care is holistic, emphasizing the integration of mind, body, and spirit, and prioritizing patient autonomy, quality, and safety. She values diversity, social justice, dignity, and hope, and considers her role as a nurse practitioner a sacred calling.
